China 2021 41st National Stamp Popularity Poll Miniature sheet with NFC technology

China Post has issued a set of  2 special stamps based on the Covid 19 themed stamps to honor Chinese people's solidarity in the nation's battle against the COVID-19 pandemic. At the center of the 2 stamps is a red geometric pattern featuring the Chinese character 众 (meaning "the public").

The first stamp has pictures of people who worked on the frontlines during the lockdown, including medical workers, scientists, police, community workers, volunteers and soldiers of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA), recognizing their contributions. The backdrop has patterns of  airplanes, cargo ships, trucks and high-speed railways which were deployed to provide emergency assistance to Hubei Province. 

The second stamp features a collage image of medical workers, equipped with personal protection gear. In the background is the renowned Huanghelou building, an ancient structure and landmark of Wuhan City.

The stamps also have special Augmented Reality featuring animation elements which could be viewed by scanning the stamps with augmented reality technologies on smartphone applications such as Alipay or WeChat.

The stamp was selected as the winning stamp for 41st National Stamp Popularity Poll in China and embedded with a NFC chip

You can see the embedded chip when raised the stamp against a light source and you will see the shadow of the embedded NFC chip in the miniature sheet

Under UV light certain elements of the stamp and miniature sheet glows in the dark

Spain 2021 Discoverers of Oceania.-  Ruy López de Villalobos

Spanish Post in continuations of the series of Discovers of Oceania printed on Wood Paper commemorates the Discoverer - Ruy López de Villalobos. He was one of the few who navigated the Atlantic Ocean and discovered some of the Philippine Islands.

South Korea 2020 Lunar Chinese New Year of the OX 2021

South Korea Post had issued a special sheet to commemorate the Chinese Lunar Year of the OX in 2021. The Stamp features holographic printing.

This commemorative stamp for the New Year is issued in two versions: one depicts a winking calf bearing good fortune with a lucky bag on its back and showing a gentle smile; and the other holographic version portrays a mother cow and calf facing each other and smiling together, expressing heartwarming maternal love and abundance.

Belgium 2021 Wheres the Patry? Lenticular stamp

BP Post to celebrate the start of the Euro Cup Football tournament has issued a lenticular miniature sheet with 2 Stamps featuring a full stadium with supporters, holding colored signs forming the Belgian tricolor, that change color by the effect of lenticular movement: . 

The stamp and the stamp sheetlet have a lenticular effect, which simulates movement.

Belgium 2021 Europa - Endangered Wildlife Glow in the Dark Stamp

Belgium Post has issued a miniature sheet showing 2 endangered species - field rat and the field snake in their natural habitat. 

The upside down pictures of the sheet shows the reflection of their endangered situations.

The stamps are printed with black light ink. When shining with a black light lamp over the stamps, the skeletons of the animals appear.

Japan Post as part of its Sea Life series has issued a special sheet of Stamps on sharks with a rough textured printing which feels the roughness of the Sharks Skin. It also has a special transparent printing which can be seen when the sheet is tilted at an angle.

Liechtenstein 2021 Pen International Stamp with Scratch off Printing

PEN International was founded after the First World War to promote peace and international understanding, with special emphasis on connecting world's best-known association of writers,. The association campaign to uphold and enforce the right to freedom of expression and takes a public stand against repression, censorship, imprisonment and assassination of writers and publicists.

Liechtenstein to commemorate the centenary of the founding of PEN International has issued 3 special stamps with scratch off printing in black - with special quotes from "Friedrich Schiller" (face value: CHF 1.00), "Emily Dickinson" (face value: CHF 1.50) and "Johann Wolfgang von Goethe" (face value: CHF 3.80) with certain words being blacked out.

The purpose of this blackout of certain words in the quotes to draw attention to the distorting and manipulative effect created by omitting information from texts. This becomes clear as soon as the blacked-out words on the stamp are scratched off, revealing the full quotes.
