South Korea 2025 Dancheong (Korean Traditonal Multicolored Paintwork stamp) Wooden Minisheet

For the PHILA KOREA 2025 international stamp exhibition held in Seoul (September 17 to 21, 2025) South Korea Post has issued a special wooden mini-sheet with 4 Wooden Stamps. The stamps feature dancheong, a traditional Korean decorative paintwork consisting of colorful patterns on wooden buildings.

A special limited edition of the same sheet was issued at the Koreapex 2025 featuring a gold logo at the bottom left of the minisheet.

Faroe Island 2025 Dove of Peace Embroidered Stamp

Faroe Island Post in collaboration with Austrian embroidery specialist Hämmerle & Vogel and other Postal Authorities (Aland Post, Armenia, Austria Post, Cyprus Island, Greenland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Swiss and UN Postal authorities ) has issued a special embroidered stamp featuring a Dove which always has been a symbol of Peace. The UPU paix embroidered label with the Dove of Peace motif was also issued at the Koreapex 2025 exhibition with no postage value (Cinderella stamp)

Japan 2009 International Polar Year 2007-2009 Holographic foil stamps sheet

Issue date 30 June 2009 

Japan Post in s joint issue has produced a common stamp issue concerning the problem of the Global Warming and featuring the slogan “Preserve the Polar Regions and Glaciers”. The Stamps features the four animals which live in the Polar regions - Polar Bear, Seal, Wolves and the Penguin with the background of the Aurora Borealis. In addition, a hologram is being used for the first time on stamps to depict an ice crystal, which is the shared logo of the international stamp campaign.

North Korea 2020 National Symbols Wood Stamps Update

As per my last post on this set of wooden stamp (See 30Jan2025 post) the National Bird was changed hence the wooden Goshawk Stamp was not issued. I found that this stamp was available on the internet for sale. It however did not come with the original sleeve as in the other stamps but came as a stamp on a white background paper.
