Australia 2009 Parks and Gardens FDC with seeds embedded on a gift card.

Australia Post has issued a limited edition of First day Covers commemorating Australian Parks and Gardens with a foiled postmark accompanied by a 100% recycled paper gift card containing lemon scented bottlebrush (Callistemon citrius) seeds. 



The Callistemon species can grow upto 3 metres and prefers a light to medium soil in a moist sunny position. It blooms in late spring with a red spiky flowers.



Planting instructions - Soak card in water until soft. Place card on seed raising mix (in pot or in ground). Lightly cover with more mix, water and keep moist. Germination should take 7-21days.
