The Philippine Postal Corporation (PHLPost) has issued the world longest postage stamp with a measurement of 234 millimeters (9 inches) in length (234mm x 40mm) .
The stamp features the iconic churches along the historic Pasig River. These are Binondo Church, Quiapo Church, Manila Cathedral Church, Sta. Ana Church, San Felipe Neri Church, San Pedro Makati Church, Guadalupe Church, Pasig Church and Antipolo Church.
The 2024 Christmas Stamp has a dimension of 234mm x 40mm stamp featuring four (4) colors process plus blue iridescent ink on the river and multi level embossing on the churches.
The Pasig River serves as a vital waterway playing a crucial role as a major transportation route for trade and commerce, connecting Manila Bay and Laguna de Bay.
The sheetlet strip of 3 stamps measures 234mmx40mm, setting the world record for being the World's Longest Postage Stamp. It beats the previous widest stamp by Sri Lanka Post stamp 205 mm x 30 mm (Second) issued in August 2024. The previous holders of this record were by Philippine Postal Corp stamp 200mm x 35mm (Third) commemorating the 125th Anniversary of the first Philippine Republic, Kyrgyzstan Post in 2023 (Fourth) featuring Kyrgyzstan’s Chaar-Tash mountain range commemorating the International Year of Sustainable Mountain Development. The stamp is 184 millimeters (7.2 inches) long .
