Unusual Postal Souvenirs

Category - Sight
Subcategory - Unusual Postal Souvenirs

This category has been included to add flavors to collecting souvenirs issued by the various Postal Authorities which have been associated with a stamp issue. I usually do not collect the souvenirs but these have been so unusually beautiful that having them added to the unusual flavors..

Update - Thanks to a fellow philatelist Mr.Ali Mehmood who also had a set of these are ceramic souvenirs and has revealed that these sets had a magnet at the back. These were actually low grade magnets with a rubbery feel (actually have still not removed these sets from original packing - so was unaware that these were magnets ..until so enlighteningly pointed out by Mr.Ali Mehmood)..Tested it and lo and behold it got stuck on my fridge...Finally got to the end of this mystery sets and he so pointed out there were quite a few being sold.

This then falls into the category of souvenirs of stamps similar to the ceramic stamps issued by China at an earlier exhibition.

These ceramic souvenirs of stamps were purchased at the Thailand 2013 World Stamp Exhibition - Bangkok issued on 04 August 2013 to commemorate the exhibition. The ceramic souvenir sets were sold in sets of 4.

  2. Hi : The set in your possession was not the only set produced. I have the whole set with me. There were quite a few available. Why you are contemplating any postal usage? when magnets at the backs clearly suggest that these can be mounted on metallic objects only. These should be taken as souvenirs only and not postal stamps; the only exception is the miniature sheet. I hope that helps.
