Netherlands 2012 Childrens Bookweek Miniature Sheet with Novelty Pop-up Stamps

PostNL has issued the world’s first pop-up stamps. The stamp sheet with the three-dimensional stamps on the occasion of the Children’s Book Week is a world first. The special paper architecture changes the 2D character of these two stamps into 3D after pulling out the cardboard slider.

The stamps themselves as well as the front and back of the sheetlet show illustrations of plants, animals and elements that feature in the Children’s Book Week Picture Book Hallo! These illustrations were made by Fleur van der Weel. On the part of the stamp that folds out, a bird and a butterfly are pictured taking flight, as it were. The trunk of an elephant and the neck of a giraffe are displayed in the horizontal area underneath.

France 2012 The Isenheim Altarpiece - Stamps with foldable window pane shutters

The Isenheim Altarpiece was made between 1512 and 1516 by Mr. Mathis, said GRÜNEWALD (born in Würzburg in 1475-1480 - died in Halle in 1528). The panel paintings and sculptures by Nicolas de Haguenau. The altarpiece in the chapel adjoining the Gothic cloister of the former convent of the Dominicans, today Uterlinden Museum in Colmar. Made technical mixed (tempera and oil) on panels made of narrow planks of linden meetings with sharp joints, the altarpiece is composed of a central part - the body, where the sculptures are part of Saint Augustine, Saint Anthony and Saint Jerome - fold on which two sets of shutters. 

These are the three sculptures of saints that La poste chose to illustrate the stamps that you can explore by opening the shutters of two levels of the block. Block of 3 stamps two € 1.50 and one € 2 representing the Isenheim Altarpiece.

Argentina 2011 – Copa America  (with moving triangular Stamp) Souvenir sheet

American Soccer Cup. Post Argentina issued three circular souvenir sheet, each with two triangular 5p stamps attached to a grommet. Sheet 1 depicts group A teams; Sheet 2 depicts group B teams and Sheet 3 features group C teams featuring the the Copa America 2011.
