China Post to commemorate traditional children’s games has issued a set of 4 stamps titled - Bamboo Dragonfly, Rubber Band Skipping, Hide-and-Seek and Eagle Chasing Chicks.
Bamboo Dragon fly stamp is set in spring and features a child spinning the bamboo dragonfly, a classic Chinese toy.
Rubber Band Skipping stamp takes summer as its backdrop with children skipping on bouncy elastic bands.
Hide-and-Seek stamp, features an autumnal setting with kids laughing and darting among golden foliage in the classic escape of childhood games of hiding and seeking hidden friends.
Eagle Chasing Chicks stamp is set against a wintry scene, a lively group game, with children running in formation highlighting innocent friendship and teamwork amid cheerful laughter.
Under ultraviolet light, select elements of the stamps glow with fluorescent ink: bamboo dragonflies, rubber bands and dragonflies on the first two stamps, fallen leaves and blindfolds on the third, plus snowflakes and a snowman on the fourth.
The above sheetlet is printed on self-adhesive paper with an exclusive hidden surprise: once the entire self-adhesive stamp sheet is peeled off its backing liner, complete folding creases for a paper airplane are revealed on the liner. Users can fold along the marked lines to make a playable paper plane.
