Indonesia 2026 Bandung 2026 Stamp Exhibition - Stamp with puppet piece made of buffalo hide Overprint

POS Indonesia at the Bandung 2026 Asian International Stamp Exhibition held between 27 and 31st August 2026, has reissued  the Stamp with puppet piece made of buffalo hide with an Overprint of the Exhibition Logo (Gold foil) and Mascot.(Silver Foil)

The stamps were first released on 18 June 2012 at the Jakarta 2012 World Stamp Championship .(click link to see earlier post)

All the Stamp sheets are numbered 0578.

Indonesia 2026 Wayang Puppets - Stamps on Silk Sheetlet

Issue date 20 April 2026

Indonesian Post has issued a special sheetlet with 5 stamps printed on Silk titled "Wayang Puppets" commemorating the Indonesian Shadow Puppets. The stamps feature puppet characters of the Mahabharata epic - Yudhistira,  Bhima, Arjun, Nakula and Sadewa with a Cinderella stamp on the Sheetlet.

The stamps are printed with varnish type raised printing and Gold embossed hand puppet printed on the selvage of the silk souvenir sheet.

My stamp sheets are numbered 0769/3000

The Wayang Puppets folder also features the Overpint of the 2012 Indonesia World Stamp Exhibition sheet with a leather puppet piece printed on the 20000 IDR stamp.

Austria 2015 Alpine Lederhosen - Leather Stamp with Swarovski Crystals

Austria Post has issued an innovative stamp in the form of a Lederhosen (Leather breeches) enhanced with 6 Swarovksi Crystals.

Lederhosen may be either short or knee-length with buttoned fly flap which is one of the traditional costumes in Austria’s provinces. They are usually made out of deerskin (in this stamp made of Alcantara leather and lasercut), sewn by hand and short for daily wear with the buttons usually made of buckhorn. The buckhorn buttons has been replaced by Swarovski crystals for the stamp.

Indonesia 2012 – World Stamp Championship Jakarta – Stamp with puppet piece made of buffalo hide

Indonesia Post issued a special Souvenir sheet on 18 June 2012 during the World Stamp Championship held at Jakarta from 18-24 June 2012 which features Mahabharata characters Bhima, Arjuna, Yudhistra, Nakula, Sadewa, and Pandava Lima from Wayang Kulit which is a unique form of puppet theatre employing light and shadow.

The puppets are crafted on buffalo hide and mounted on bamboo sticks, When held up behind a piece of white cloth, with an electric bulb or an oil lamp as a light source, shadows are cast on the screen, There is a special stamp made up of light hide which is pasted on the stamp design

A limited edition of overprint was issued for the 2022 Indonesia World Stamp Championship with a limited run of 1000 pieces, My sheet number is 0756 / 1000
