Brazil 2014 Prehistoric Animals of Brazil stamps with Thermographic printing

Correios Brazil has issued a set of 4 stamps depicting prehistoric animals who roamed the territory of Brazil. 

Two of the stamps depicting Dinosaurs have been printed with thermographic printing which provides a 3D depth feeling to the pictures and also a special raised feel of the dinosaurs. 

The other 2 stamps has a varnish type of printing on the stamps.

Oman 2018 Traditional Horse Racing - Ardhah with Augmented Reality Stamps

Oman Post to commemorate ‘Al Ardah’ day, meaning the ‘day of the Camel and Horse Racing festival’ in Arabic, people gather around the racecourse to watch shows by horse and camel riders that reflect their riding skills. Traditional arts such as ‘Hanbal’, a singing group routine of horse and camel riders entering the ‘Ardah’ field which is an art associated with many social occasions in Omani society and is an integral part of Omani culture reflecting people’s devotion to the care of animals. 

Currently I have the horse Ardhah stamp and awaiting the availability of the Camel Ardhah mini sheet for sale. The stamps of the Horse Ardhah minisheet shows varnish printing and gold foil printing.

The videos can be seen using the OMAN Stamps App from the App Store of your mobile phone (Sadly as of today date it did not work on my iphone else I would have posted a video demo of the same that it works as described)

Indonesia 2024 Asian International Stamp Exhibition Scented Stamps

Indonesia Post to commemorate the 2024 Asian International Stamp Exhibition and Competition has issued a set of 5 rose scented Souvenir sheet for each day of the 5 day event. The souvenir sheet is printed with Glow in the Dark under UV printing on all the sheets and varnish has been applied to some areas of the Sheet.

Special thanks to Irene Chen for her help in obtaining these sheets. The sheets are numbered 0453/1000.

Croatia 2010 Minerals and Rocks Stamps with glow in dark printing and embossing

Croatian Post  has issued two postage stamps depicting agate found near the city of Lepoglava and limestone from the island of Brac. 

Stone Top (or Gaveznica) is a fossil volcano near Lepoglava, formed about 22 million years, where agate was first discovered in Croatia, because of which the site was declared a geological natural monument. The stone itself was used as early as the Stone Age, made evident by tools found in nearby caves. It comes in shades varying from light blue to gray and black and is, like many other types of agate, very popular in jewelry making.

Calcite is one of the most common minerals and is mostly found in limestone which forms some of Croatia’s most beautiful mountains. The famous stone from the island of Brac, sometimes referred to as “Brac marble,” has been known since ancient times and was used in the construction of many notable structures, such as Diocletian’s Palace in Split or the parliament buildings in Vienna and Budapest.

The stamps are printed with glow in the dark under UV security logo of the Croatian Post (found in most Croatian stamps) and one of the limestone stamp has embossing while the other stamp has a varnish printed on the stamp
