Grenada 2017 Year of the Rooster Swarovski Sheet

Grenada Post to commemorate the Chinese Lunar New Year of the Rooster has issued a special sheet depicting a Rooster with a Swarovski crystal. As per common knowledge this issue is a Personal Stamp where a dealer has attached Swarovski Crystal to each stamp with the permission of Grenada Post and has stuck a Hologram label authenticating the Swarovski Crystal on the lower left side of the sheet.

There are stamp sheets available in the marketplace without the swarovski crystals attached to the stamp sheet.

As part of the Celebration of the 80th Birthday, Photomosaic Stamps featuring Pope John Paul were issued by many countries - Dominica, Gambia, Grenada, Guyana, Liberia, Micronesia, Palau, Sierra Leone. The photomosaic sheet contains small pictures of different portions of Churches from around the world which together makes the larger picture of the face of Pope John Paul.

Grenada 2003 Anatoly Karpov Chess Champion Anaglyph Stamp MS

Grenada Post to commemorate the first live 3D internet coverage championship TVD First e-world Chess Championship between two legendary world champions Anatoly Karpov and Garry Kasparov battle it out in 3D. The rapid chess games was played in the ABC Studios in Time Square, New York on December 19 and 20, 2002.

By donning special electronic LCD viewing glasses for $99 you were able to watch the first ever Internet broadcast of a chess match in 3D when transmitted to a computer with specific configuration.

How the 3D broadcast worked: the Computer monitor alternately displays complete left-eye and right-eye images, each time the monitor refreshes. The special 3D glasses have high-speed electronic shutters (made with Liquid Crystal material), which open and close at the same refresh rate as the monitor, in sync with the page flipped images. When the left image is on the screen, the left shutter is open and the right shutter is closed, so that the image is viewed only by your left eye. When the right image is on the screen, the right shutter is open and the left shutter is closed, so that the image is viewed only by your right eye. This happens so quickly that the brain perceives 3D depth as though Karpov and Kasparov were floating in space inside and in front of the screen.

The 3D stamps issued by Grenada Post felicitating the winner of the above championship - Anatoly Karpov with a special 3D Anaglyph Stamp miniature sheet which can be viewed using the Red and Blue Anaglyph glasses.

Grenada 2011 Chocolate Theme Cocoa Export - Cocoa Scented MS

Grenada Post has issued 2 sheets of Chocolate themed stamps commemorating the Export of Cocoa from the country. 

The first sheet depicts nine stamps with oval shaped chocolates while the second sheet depicts nine stamps with chocolate brownie as the theme in the usage of chocolate. The QR code in the second sheet gives one an access to a brownie recipe.

Both the sheets are printed with a Cocoa scent.

Grenada 1971 Winner of Miss World -  Jennifer Hosten printed on Silk 

Issue date 1 June 1971

Grenada Post issued a Silk Miniature Sheet featuring Ms.Jennifer Hosten winner of the Miss World Title in 1970. The miniature sheet also feature the Map of Grenada on the Stamp.

Jennifer Hosten of Grenada, Miss World 1970, was the first black to be crowned as Miss World and the first ever at any major international pageant.
