Canada 2017 Canadian Hockey Legends Trading Card Stamps

Issue date 28 September 2017

Canada Post to honour the Canadian Hockey Legends has issued a trading Card size stamps featuring  Jean Béliveau, Wayne Gretzky, Gordie Howe, Lemieux, Orr, and Maurice Richard. Each is shown celebrating an NHL championship by posing with the Stanley Cup, Hockey's most-coveted prize is included in honour of the cup's 125th anniversary.

In this series issue only signed stamps with hologram is that of Bobby Orr and Mario Lemieux. 

The set of autographed stamps is complete for this issue as Wayne Gretzky did not sign any of this stamps and the remaining were already demised at the time of issue

St.Vincent 1992 Baseball Hall of Fame Trading Card Stamps

 

Issue date 11 June 1992

St. Vincent Baseball Hall of Fame cards that can be used as postage in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Issued in 1992. These card stamps contain Ty Cobb, Dizzy Dean, Bob Feller, Whitey Ford, Lou Gehrig, Rogers Hornsby, Mel Ott, Satchel Paige, Babe Ruth, Casey Stengel, Honus Wagner, and Cy Young; 12 stamps in all. Stats are on back of card which can be peeled off and put on a large envelope as postage.

Guyana 1995 Babe Ruth Trading Card Stamps Set

 

Issue date 16 February 1995

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Babe Ruth’s birth, the Family of Babe Ruth and Babe Ruth Baseball League Inc. authorized this rare set of cards. This highly collectible set of standard sized cards features 12 sepia-toned photographs of the Great Bambino set inside a gold foil with a foil signature at the bottom of each card.

Canada 2016 NHL Canadian Forwards

Canada Post issued 6 trading card  sized stamps featuring the Great Canadian Forwards - Sidney Crosby of the Pittsburgh Penguins, Phil Esposito of the Boston Bruins, Mark Messier of the Edmonton Oilers, Guy LaFleur of the Montreal Canadiens, Darryl Sittler of the Toronto Maple Leafs and Steve Yzerman of the Detroit Red Wings.

On the front of each stamp features a action shot of the individual forwards with the player’s name and the logo of his main NHL team. Listed on the back, hockey card-style, are the player’s hometown and birthdate, NHL career history, statistics, and awards.

These stamps are issued in pack of 6 Stamps - One in 40 packs contains an exclusive autographed stamp souvenir sheet from Sidney Crosby, Phil Esposito, Mark Messier, Guy LaFleur, Darryl Sittler, or Steve Yzerman. Odds of getting an autographed stamp souvenir sheet are 1 in 40 based on the entire production run. following is one of the stamps collected with the signature and Canada post hologram 

Each stamp has a value of CAD 1.80 - the oversized mail rate (2016)

Canada Post issued 6 trading card  sized stamps featuring the Great Canadian Goalies - Johnny Bower of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Martin Brodeur of the New Jersey Devils, Ken Dryden and Gump Worsley of the Montreal Canadiens, Tony Esposito of the Chicago Blackhawks and Bernie Parent of the Philadelphia Flyers. 

On the front of each stamp features a action shot of the individual goaltender with the player’s name and the logo of his main NHL team, all set against a hockey net background. Listed on the back, hockey card-style, are the player’s hometown and birthdate, NHL career history, statistics, and awards.

These stamps are issued in pack of 6 Stamps - One in 40 packs contains an exclusive autographed stamp souvenir sheet from Johnny Bower, Martin Brodeur, Tony Esposito or Bernie Parent. Odds of getting an autographed stamp souvenir sheet are 1 in 40 based on the entire production run.

Canada 2014 NHL Original Six Trading Card Size Stamps

Issue date 3 Oct 2014

Bobby Orr, Pierre Pilote, Red Kelly, Doug Harvey, Harry Howell and Tim Horton were among the great Canadian players that dominated the sport from the 1940s to the 1960s. They were part of NHL (National Hockey League) Teams as defence men.

Canada Post issued a souvenir sheet in the form of a trading card with details of the players on the reverse. These six souvenir sheets were sold in a packet with one in every 50 packets having a signed sheet by one of the above players. Each sheet size was of 52.5 mm x 79 mm. These sheets had a value of CAD2.50 (International postal rate in 2014) No autographed stamp exist for Tim Horton in this series.

My set of Autographed stamps is complete as the remaining players were demised at the time of issue of the stamps.

Also issued was pane sheet of 6 stamps with team logo embossing of each player on the sides of the pane. The stamps were of the Domestic Rate and features as Permanent stamps for domestic postage. Stamp size 32 mm x 40 mm.
