Paraguay 1987 Navidad Christmas Painting Copper Bronze foil minisheet

Paraguay Post to commemorate the festival of Christmas issued a special souvenir sheet on copper bronze foil, a replica of the copper engraving titled "Mother with the Monkey" (c.a. 1498) by famous German Renaissance painter and artist Albrecht Durer (1471–1528). 

In Madonna with the Monkey, Dürer shows a young, loving mother holding her chubby baby and a monkey at the bottom left of the engraving.

Paraguay 1989 Luis Del Parana GALOPERA Gramaphone music record affixed on Miniature Sheet 

Issue date 25 May 1989

The 1989 Paraguay Miniature sheet has a transparent gramophone record attached to the front of the miniature sheet featuring a song of Luis Alberto del Paraná of the music group Los Paraguayos.

Los Paraguayos, a music group consisting of musicians from Paraguay. Since its foundation in the 1950s, the group has featured many singers and musicians, playing guitars, bongo drums and a Paraguayan harp, including Luis Alberto del Paraná, Reynaldo Meza, Angel "Pato" Garcia and Carlos Espinoza. The group performs many South American and Mexican tunes and songs, including classics, such as Guantanamera, El Cóndor Pasa and La Bamba.

Paraguay 1986 Albrecht Dürer's Madonna with child printed on cedar wood

Issue date 04 June 1986

Paraguay Post issued a 25-guarani airmail souvenir sheet for promoting its cedar industry by issuing

a wooden stamp portraying Dürer’s Virgin and

Child by Albrecht Durer printed on cedar wood. 

Albrecht Durer (1471-1528) one of the most famous artist of Reformist Germany, widely known for his paintings, drawings, prints, and theoretical writings on art.
