Canada 2006 Washington 2006 WPE - 1606 Voyage of Samuel de Champlain

This Joint Issue by Canada and USA as part of honouring 400 years of French settlement on the American continent, Canada Post and USPS released a special souvenir sheet with US domestic stamps and Canada domestic stamps on the same sheet during the World Philatelic Exhibition at Washington 2006. The stamps features a barque, a small, two-masted sailing ship built by the French to explore coastal waters too shallow for their larger ocean vessels.

The stamps honour the voyage of Samuel de Champlain in 1606 who charted the Eastern coast from Nova Scotia's Port-Royal south to Cape Cod during the fall of 1606. Champlain never returned to this coast, but his maps broke ground for later adventurers.

Canada - India 2017 Diwali Stamps

On the occasion of Diwali, Indian Festival of Lights, a joint issue of stamps was made by Canada Post and India Post. Of the Joint Issue a siamese issue was printed in Canada featuring International Postage CAD 2.50 for Canada and Rupees 25 for the India Stamp.

I do not usually collect these stamps but these have been issued my home country Canada.

Gibraltar / Isle of Man 2005 200th anniversary of the battle of Trafalgar Siamese Issue

200th anniversary of the battle of Trafalgar.  

Two different stamps, one from each country, part of one single souvenir sheet. Each country issued its own mixed souvenir sheet in which the stamps are the same but there is a slight difference in the text. Stamps, paintings: A, the death of Horatio Nelson (1758-1805); B, the funeral of Nelson. Gibraltar issued also a souvenir sheet containing only stamp A. On January 9, 2005, Isle of Man issued already stamp B, as part of a series of 2x4 different se-tenant stamps, in the frame of the first series related to the Trafalgar battle anniversary. Multicolored.

The two mixed souvenir sheets can be identified by the name of the issuing country and the logo of the respective post offices printed on it. Jersey issued on the same day five stamps and one miniature sheet with a different design.

Each of the souvenir sheet can also be classified as an Omnibus Joint Stamp Issue.
