China 2012 - 23 Song Poetry with Interactive Codes read by a Special Aigo Pen and Micro Text Printing and one version printed on Xuan Paper
Issue date 31 August 2012
China Post has issued a special sheet with can be read with a special Reader Aigo Pen issued by China Philately commemorating the Song Poetry of the Song Dynasty (960–1279) established by Emperor Taizu (Zhao Kuangyin) of Song. The collapse of the Tang Dynasty (618-907 CE) led to the break-up of China into five dynasties and ten kingdoms, but one warlord would rise to the challenge and collect at least some of the various states back into a resemblance of a unified China. The Song Dynasty preceded the Yuan Dynasty.
The Song Dynasty is known for its achievements in terms of combining poetry, painting, and calligraphy, called the three perfections, into a shared art form, or as complementary activities. Scroll paintings often included accompanying calligraphy poems on the same page which expanded on the themes of the visual artwork.
AIGO Pen Reader - The Aigo reader pen is a unique gadget that combines an infrared recognition system, mass data storage and an MP3 player.
