Russia 2003 300th Anniversary of St.Petersburg with 24K foil embossing

On the occasion of the 300th Anniversary of the founding of the St. Petersburg city in Russia, Russia Post has issued 3 Souvenir sheet with embossed printing featuring a 24K gold embossed printing on the emblem on the souvenir sheet mentioning the 300th Anniversary of St.Petersburg.

The souvenir sheet bear the graphic sketch of the St.Peter and Paul Fortress, the Palace embankment, the Rostral Column and the EU-CIS summit emblem. The stamp of the souvenir sheet features the monument of Peter I "The Bronze Horseman" by E. Falkonet.

USA 2017 Have a Ball Forever Stamps Sheet

To celebrates the nation’s passion for athletics, United States Postal Service has issued 8 self-adhesive circular stamps showcasing illustrations of eight sports balls: baseball, basketball, football, golf, kickball, soccer, tennis, and volleyball.

A special coating applied to selected areas of the stamps during the printing process gives them a textured feel.

Thailand 2017  70th anniversary of late King Rama IX’s accession to the throne

Issue Date 01 April 2017 

Thailand Post has issued a sheet of five stamps featuring the longest stamp at 170 mm in length—to commemorate the 70th anniversary of late King Rama IX’s accession to the throne.

Each of the stamp features a series photographs of the king set against a background of luscious green fields. 

Width 170 mm Height 30 mm

The length of 170 mm beats the previous singapore stamp of 162mm

South Korea 2017 Nature in DMZ Stamps with Rock dust

A Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) divides the Korean Peninsula in two since 1953 with a buffer zone that maintains a distance between the troops of the two countries - Democratic People's Republic of Korea in the North and the Republic of Korea in the South.

South Korean Post has issued 2 stamps featuring the fauna in the demilitarized zone - one stamp with a squirrel next to a soldier's helmet with a bullet hole and and the second stamp with a kingfisher sitting on a barbed wire.

Both stamps feature UV lacquer printing with the stamp featuring the helmet having an iron powder printing effect.

USA 2017 Total Eclipse of the Sun Stamps Thermochromic printing

The United States Postal Service (USPS) has issued the first U.S. postage stamps commemorating the 2017 total solar eclipse with thermochromic, or color-changing, ink. The stamp features an image of totality, with the moon completely blocking out the sun and appearing as a black disk surrounded by the sun's corona. But if you place your finger — or rub it — on the blacked-out portion of the stamp, the moon will appear.

The Great American total solar eclipse will sweep across the U.S. in a line from Oregon to South Carolina on Aug. 21 as seen on the back of the sheet.

San Marino 2017 140th Anniversary of the First Postal Issue Embroidery Stamp

To commemorate the first issuance of San Marino Stamps on 1 August 1877, San Marino Post has issued a special self adhesive stamp by Arnaldo Caprai Gruppo Tessile Srl, embroidered with white thread on a blue canvas representing the coat of arms of San Marino Municipality with its 3 towers, the 3 feathers and the wording "Libertas".
