Austria 2024 Diana with Menthol Stamp

Austria Post to commemorate an Age old brand Diana with Menthol, issued a special stamp enhanced with a Menthol scented varnish commemorating the brand.

In 1897, a Hungarian pharmacist from the "Diana Pharmacy" discovered the versatile effects of Franzbranntwein rubbing alcohol infused with menthol. This product is registered in the Austrian trademark register in 1907 as DIANA with Menthol (under the pharmacy's name). DIANA with menthol brand was acquired by the Austrian company Unipack GmbH, owned by the Burghart family in 2014. 

DIANA with menthol is used as a rub for releasing muscle tension, providing an invigorating and cooling effect. Menthol is extracted from the leaves of the peppermint plant or other mint species. It is known for its cooling sensation and minty aroma.

Guyana Post has issued a special photomosiac stamp sheet featuring Albert Einstein, This photomosiac stamp sheet was previously seen in the Millennium series "Faces of the Millennium" issued by Togo Post in 2002. The mosaic of Albert Einstein is composed of many small pictures with the theme of science (Space, Aviation, Technology, Helicopters, Hubble, DNA, Medical Images).

Completing my set of Diana Photomosiac Stamps set. Sierra Leone was the final one I did not have in the set.

Sierra Leone 1999-Princess Diana – Millenium Photomosiac Stamp Sheet


Issue date :  31 December 1999

Each sheet utilizes the technique of  "Photomosaics", which is a method of arranging thousands of tiny Flower photographs that when viewed from a distance, combine to form a single larger image, the picture of the face of Princess Diana.

All nine sheets commemorate both the Millennium and the remembrance of the life of Diana, Princess of Wales.

The nine countries which have issued the photomosiacs are: The Dominica, Gambia, Grenada, Guyana, Micronesia, Nevis, Sierra Leone, St. Vincent, and Zambia.

The sheets measures a large 6½" x 9¾" and all were issued on December 31, 1999.

Netherlands 2024 Dragon Crypto Stamp

Netherland Post in collaboration with Austria Post, Belgium Post and Luxembourg Post has issued a special Crypto Stamp with Holographic Foil printing. The Crypto Stamp comes with its associated NFT image of the Dragon (in colors Red Yellow Blue Green Black) which can be claimed to one's online wallet by scanning the QR code and saving it in one's online wallet with code obtained by scratching off the covered area behind the stamp card.

The total issue of the NL Crypto Stamp 3 – Dragon is 15,000 pieces with the following color distribution: black 7,845, green 4,005, blue 1,995, yellow 1,005, and red 150.

The NL Crypto Stamp 3 – Dragon bears the denomination ‘R’, intended for registered mail up to 20 grams within the Netherlands. The price is €10.80 each.


The color of the NFT for this stamp is Green

Vietnam Post has issued the third in the series of National Treasures - Pottery Stamps imperf set of four featuring significant ceramic artifacts: the Dau Ram Ceramic Vase, the Long Thanh Terracotta Vase Collection, the Nhon Thanh Ceramic Vase, and the Brown-Flower Ceramic Jar. 

The first stamp showcases the Dau Ram Ceramic Vase, an artifact identified as belonging to the late Phung Nguyen culture, dating back over 3,000 years. Discovered in 1998 at the Dau Ram archaeological site in Hoang Tan commune, Quang Yen town, Quang Ninh province, this unique artifact is currently housed at the Quang Ninh Museum and was recognized as a national treasure in December 2018.

The second stamp features the Long Thanh Terracotta Vase Collection, comprising 18 terracotta vases that reflect the artistic talent of the Sa Huynh culture. These artifacts, which highlight the development of terracotta craftsmanship, are preserved at the Quang Ngai General Museum and were recognized as national treasures in December 2018.

The third stamp depicts the Nhon Thanh Ceramic Vase, a rare intact artifact from the Oc Eo culture, showcasing the peak of ceramic craftsmanship and cultural exchanges with India during the mid-1st millennium. This artifact, preserved at the Can Tho Museum, was recognized as a national treasure in December 2018.

The fourth stamp presents the Brown-Flower Ceramic Jar, an artifact found at the Tran Temple site, a significant historical area dating back to the 13th-14th centuries. The jar, now housed at the National Museum of History, was recognized as a national treasure in December 2016.

The stamps are embossed and printed with Red Foil and colorless ink which glows in the dark under UV light.
