Canada 2026 Truth and Reconciliation Stamps
Issue date 29 September 2026
Canada Post to commemorate Canada’s journey toward truth and reconciliation, has selected orange shirts to be featured on the 4 self adhesive T-shirt shaped Stamps.
The stamps honour Survivors and their families, as well as the children who never made it home from the legacy of trauma and abuse on Indigenous Peoples in residential schools.
Orange Shirt Day began in 2013 as a grassroots initiative to recognize and honour the children of indigenous people who were taken from their families and placed in residential schools.
Three Stamps reflect the experiences of the First Nations, Inuit and Metis Communities while the 4th stamp is dedicated to Mother Earth, symbolizing the connection between past, present and future generations.
The 4 stamps were issued in a Booklet of 8 self adhesive Permanent Stamps.
