Niger 2013 120th Birth Anniversary of Mao Tse Tung Wood Stamp

To commemorate the 120th Birth Anniversary of Chairman Mao Tse Tung,founding father of the People’s Republic of China, and leader of China from 1949-76, Niger Post has issued a special commemorative miniature sheet printed on wood featuring the oil canvas painted by Liu Chunhua in 1967 titled Chairman Mao en Route to Anyuan.
The painting depicts a young Mao Zedong (Chinese Communist revolutionary) striding atop a mountain peak wearing a look of determination on his face and portraying Chairman Mao as a revolutionary leader committed to championing the common people.
