Netherlands 2026 The Delft Blue Ceramic Stamp

Issue date 07 September 2026

PostNL in collaboration with Royal Delft company has issued a ceramic stamp in the form of a Tile with a self adhesive peel off at the back of the ceramic stamp. The Delft Blue Ceramic Stamp features a floral bouquet with a bird in their iconic blue and white colors  printed on the ceramic stamp tile with glossy coating finish, making the whole piece look like a genuine tile.

Have been a collector of the Royal Delft KLM Dutch Houses porcelain Gin Bottles for those in the know.

The Tile stamp is 50 mm X 50mm and 5mm thick, so this stamp remains a collectible only. It cannot be used as a regular postage stamp as it cannot go through the regular mail sorting process. Even for the FDC part of the cancellation has been permanently etched on the ceramic tile and sent separately with the cancelled envelope to be aligned and stuck on the envelope to prevent damage to the ceramic stamp during shipping.

The first ceramic stamp issued was the Austrian Rose of Vienna Ceramic Stamp in 2014. Click link below to see the other stamp
