Moroccan Post has this time issued a special "silk" souvenir sheet devoted to the 50th anniversary of the birth of the Moroccan sovereign S.M.Le Roi Mohammed VI
King Mohamed VI is indeed born on August 21, 1963 in the Moroccan capital, Rabat, and became King on July 23, 1999 after the death of his father, King Hassan II. Mohamed VI is the third King of Morocco and the 22nd monarch of the Alawite dynasty that ruled the country since the second half of the 17th century.
