Germany 2026 70th anniversary of EUROPA Stamps
Issue date 07 May 2026
Deutsch Post in a joint release with SEPAC nations (Small European Postal Administration Cooperation) has issued a special stamp of 0.95 € to commemorate the “70th anniversary of EUROPA Stamps”. The winning motif selected was the one submitted by Finland.
The diagonally ascending dotted line represents the progressive work of the PostEurop. The seven dots, connected by a straight line, symbolize seventy years of unified effort by postal operators across the continent. The blending gradients and dotted patterns in the background form a cohesive and vibrant surface, reflecting the joyful mix of colors from the European flag and symbolizing the unity of all member nations.
The uniqueness of this stamp issue by Germany is different from other countries stamps with the same design in that the seven dots has an actual perforations in the German stamp as compared to the white filled dot on the other European countries stamps.
